Affordable Art Supplies

I find that one of the hardest things about making art and keeping it at an affordable price is getting great quality art products that are not going to push up the price of my paintings.  Also l love to live in smaller country towns and well away from cities, which makes it even harder to find a good supplier. 

I have found that the Art Shed is a great online art supply shop that offers  great quality art materials and fantastic rates.  And if you paint lots like me you order in boxes of canvases which makes it even more economical.  I usually wait till I'm quite low on things and put in a larger order of canvases, paints and mediums so that I only pay one lot of postage.  The other great thing about the Art Shed too is their prompt delivery and friendly service... and they don't take credit card details on line, they ring you once your order is placed and you give the details over the phone. www.artshed.com.au

Shopping locally is also important in small towns, so I do use my local shop a lot still for smaller items such as paint brushes, or when I need a one off special sized canvas etc.  It also nice to be able to go in and chat about the items as well.
